Wednesday, 6 April 2016
We were introduced to create ideas to commemorate the 1916 Easter Rising. Students were separated in to groups and given plain sheets to create their own ideas with the artists help, we were set a task to make a physical statue to show our perspective of the 1916 rising and our view of what we think resembles Irelands history. A week after we first met the artists we were brought to Ballyjamesduff museum and were given an in depth talk about the 1916 rising to deeping and refer our ideas so that all students taking part had full knowledge of the 1916 rising.
